Thyme is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 45 cm. It has a multi-branched stem, small greenish-gray leaves and purple or white flowers. Commonly used in herbal medicines by the ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Romans and in embalming by the Egyptians. White Thyme Essential Oil is often sought after because it has a higher percentage of it’s active constituent (45% or more Thymol, depending on the grade).
