Delhi, India’s capital, is notorious for its severe air pollution and extreme weather conditions. While the city experiences a significant number of hours with thermally comfortable temperatures, the overlap between clean air and thermal comfort is alarmingly rare. Recent studies reveal that Delhiites can enjoy both clean air and thermally comfortable conditions for only about 3% of the year, just 259 hours annually. This situation highlights the complex environmental challenges facing urban India.
