CAQM’s Action Plan to Curb Stubble Burning UPSC
Every winter, Delhi and its surrounding regions grapple with severe air pollution, with stubble burning in neighboring states identified as a major contributor. In response, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has released a comprehensive 19-point directive aimed at the complete elimination of stubble burning in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and also involving Delhi and Rajasthan. This initiative is crucial for improving air quality and public health in the National Capital Region (NCR).
