Rajaji National Park near Rishikesh is home to tigers, wild elephants, leopards, and 400+ bird species. The safari season runs mid-November to June 30, closing for monsoon from July 1 to mid-November.
November–February is cool and great for bird watching. March–June is peak sighting season — as it gets warmer, animals rely heavily on waterholes, making tiger and elephant sightings far more frequent, especially in May-June.
Tip: Always book morning safaris for the best chance of spotting wildlife, and reserve in advance since weekends fill up fast.
