1. Crafting

FFXIV Gil is an important currency for players of all levels to have. Upon reaching end game content, many players start focusing on glamour items and mounts, which require a large amount of Gil to purchase.

One of the best ways to make gil is through crafting. It is possible to make a lot of money by leveling your crafting classes to max and selling their creations on the market board.

Another way to make gil is through gardening and planting crops. You can also make a lot of money by farming for items like Thavnairian Onion and other high-value plants. This method can be slow, but it is a good source of consistent income. However, it is important to note that the gil you make from these methods can fluctuate depending on your server and DC.

2. Gathering

4. Retainer Ventures

In order to unlock these quests, players must first have their retainers level up to the same level as their player.

Once a retainer is leveled, they can then be sent on Quick Adventures. These are a great way to quickly accrue a significant amount of gil without having to level up the player.

In theory, a decent amount of Gil should flow from the combat players who run dungeons to the crafters who sell them gear and consumables. But the truth is that most methods have a lead time and require some investment and diversification to really make money consistently.

Gathering classes (Miner, Botanist and Fisher) harvest natural resources throughout Eorzea and can sell these to other players on the Market Board or to their Retainer Ventures. This can be a very profitable method of gil making, especially at the start of a new patch as items and nodes are brand new.

Putting items on the Market Board and updating them during peak hours can yield high prices due to the fact that other players will be online at these times and cannot undercut you.
