The clove tree is a small evergreen tree (Syzygium aromaticum or Eugenia caryophyllata) of the family Myrtaceae (myrtle family) and for its unopened flower bud, an important spice. Cloves are commercially harvested primarily in Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. Clove contains a number of volatile oils, the most significant of which is eugenol that comprises up to 90% of the total oil produced by the plant. It is extracted primarily from clove buds, though it can also be extracted from the leaves of the clove tree as well. https://www.aromaticscanada.ca......../shop/oils/essen
