How to Clean Velvet Upholstery | Iwantfabric.com

Velvet looks delicate but is easy to care for with the right approach. Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment, blot spills straight away rather than rubbing, and use a gentle cleaner suited to the fibre. Steam can lift crushed pile. I Want Fabric's velvets list care instructions on every product page to keep your furniture looking its best.

Is Faux Leather Waterproof | Iwantfabric.com

Most faux leather has a PVC surface, which makes it highly water resistant and easy to wipe clean. That's why it's popular for dining chairs, bar seating, caravans and boats. Seams and backing can still let water through, so outdoor furniture may need extra protection. I Want Fabric explains the options and stocks faux leathers for every use.

What Is Chenille Fabric | Iwantfabric.com

Chenille gets its name from the French word for caterpillar, thanks to its soft, tufted yarn. The pile makes it comfortable and gives it a subtle sheen that changes with the light. It's hard-wearing, hides everyday marks and suits sofas, armchairs, cushions and curtains. I Want Fabric stocks plain and patterned chenilles by the metre.
