While that doesn't happen much these days, and much of that elite Blizzard team is no longer in the industry for good reasons, Diablo is a franchise that is significant. Through its long experience as a franchise, this is the only fourth mainline game. Diablo 2 Resurrected can be a game that D2R Items forces the market to stop and pay attention to Blizzard again, this time with the right motives.

Although some may be dismayed by the idea of Diablo 2 Resurrected followers, like their or dislike them these helpful friends have become a staple part of the action RPG's combat. I asked Blizzard what its plans are for the aides of Diablo 2 Resurrected, and while they didn't say too much however, it seems like followers will join in the future at some point.Speaking to lead class creator Adam Z. Jackson in the aftermath announcement of Diablo 2 Resurrected gameplay preview, I inquired if the system for followers would be like that of Diablo 2 or Diablo 3 - if there was one even a possibility.

If you're unaware, in Diablo 2 you would hire followers to go through Hell's gates with you. However, when they died, you had to get them back using cold hard cash. New followers were introduced in each zone, meaning some were absolutely better than other followers.

This was a change in Diablo 3, where instead hiring mercenaries, players got three different characters in the story quest. There was the Scoundrel Sorceress and Templar who represented the range of DPS tank, ranged DPS, as well as magic gamer respectively.In the course of my Diablo 2 Resurrected adventure I only encountered helpful NPCs who stuck around for a dungeon or two then left into the sunset. When I asked Jackson how the game's follower function will work it was explained that "for the initial edition of the game we do have some places within the story where you'll find certain named NPCs who will follow you and help players figure out the what Lilith is doing around the globe.

I was impressed by the variety of Diablo 2 Resurrected Items abilities that followers provided when they played Diablo 2 and would love to see this system redesigned. It will create more room for different build types, as well as incredible ability chains for demons.
