Some new features are what is making this Madden 23 Ultimate Team different from its predecessor!

Madden NFL 23 is set to drop on August 19, 2022. Naturally, Madden Ultimate Team also makes its return in Madden NFL 23. Also, EA Sports has revealed some new features coming to the Ultimate Team game mode. So in this article, we will share what you need to know about all of the new features of Madden 23 Ultimate Team.

Field Pass

Field Pass is a new program introduced this year and will be vital to progression, especially in Madden 23 Ultimate Team Season 1. There are three primary types of Field Passes: Season, Competitive, and Ultimate Team program-specific passes. Each of these passes will allow players to earn rewards ranging from MUT 23 Coins and packs to uniforms and highly-rated player items that will be revealed at the start of the 60-day season.

MUT Champions

Weekend League has been replaced by the MUT Champions which will be another notable feature in Madden 23 Ultimate Team. Not only is it where you can earn some of the best rewards, but it will also be available to play any day of the week, which is a major improvement given the time restraints surrounding the Weekend League. In addition, players need to earn Champs Entry Tokens to get into this mode. The even better news is that these tokens don’t expire and will land right in your MUT 23 Item Binder, so you can use them whenever you want.

Improved Sets

Sets are now available in the Item Bin. Due to their new location, you can filter sets by position or program. Completing sets has also been streamlined, automatically checking your inventory for the cheapest, unused, and non-favorite items needed to complete the set. You will see which items have been used and if they can be used for future sets. You can always take a more hands-on approach to complete sets.

More Competitive Play

Players should also find a greater challenge when it comes to some of the competitive game modes and more opportunities to earn various rewards such as more Madden 23 Coins. Solo battles will now reset daily, allowing players to play up to 28 games per week, more than double what was available last year. The Competitive Field Pass will also be the main way to earn rewards for Solo Battles. The number of games in H2H Seasons has been reduced to allow players to participate in more playoffs and thus play in more Super Bowls. In MUT Draft, there is no longer a ranked mode, and the salary cap has been removed from Ultimate Team.

Player and Strategy Items

Base team OVRs have been increased across the board. After selecting your favorite team, you will also get base versions of outstanding players from that team. Classic purple-colored power-ups will no longer be found, saving you from making further changes to a player’s latest and greatest. Strategic items now have a cleaner UI and the total number of strategic slots strategic items can take has been reduced to attack, defense and team affinity.
