Understanding TSW and the Path to Recovery

Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW), also known as Red Skin Syndrome, is a challenging skin condition that occurs when the body reacts to the sudden discontinuation of topical steroid creams. For many, these creams were initially prescribed to manage eczema or other inflammatory skin conditions. However, prolonged use can lead to dependency causing the skin to “withdraw” when steroids are stopped.
